"His Last Days"
Saint Patrick School, a Roman Catholic school, has been educating the students of the greater Boston area since 1887.
Saint Patrick School is committed to serving generations of students and families, providing Catholic doctrine, Christian values and a strong academic curriculum in a nurturing and peaceful environment.
Saint Patrick School continues to teach the values of truth, morality and spirituality to a richly diverse population.
Philosophy As a Catholic school, Saint Patrick School's priority is to provide a quality education that includes the development of the whole person: spiritually, intellectually, socially, emotionally, and psychologically. We believe that cooperation is the hallmark of Saint Patrick Schoool, and the school community is encouraged to contribute to the cooperative effort of education, fund-raising, and volunteering. The standard life in the school community includes: Christian moral virtues of loving concern and respect for others, mutual trust, non-violence, service to those in need and justice to all.
Our Catholic Identity
St. Patrick School is a Catholic school, and the beliefs and moral teachings of the Catholic Church are reflected in all studies. St. Patrick School admits children of all faiths. Students are expected to participate in daily prayer, religion classes, as well as school liturgies, and prayer services throughout the school year.
Our Rich History
It was in September 1887, that seven Sisters of Charity came at the invitation of Father Joseph H. Gallagher to establish Saint Patrick School in Roxbury. Students at that time came from a predominantly Irish Catholic parish community. From 1960 to present, the influx of newcomers for Cape Verde, Haiti, Africa, Puerto Rico, Central and South America, and the West Indies, has created a rich cultural fabric.
Accreditation The New England Association of Schools and Colleges, Inc. (NEASC) awarded accreditation and membership to Saint Patrick School.
Founded in 1885, the NEASC is the nation's oldest regional accreditation association whose mission is the establishment and maintenance of high standards for all levels of education.
